We try to organize our homes to be as comfortable and practical as possible but sometimes all it takes are a few tweaks to make things simple. The Letout Outlet is a perfect example of hidden functionality in seemingly common household objects.
The purpose of the outlet is reduce unnecessary clutter, keep outlet multipliers and cables neatly organized and generally make life easier when in need of multiple power sources. With the outlets safely hidden inside the walls multipliers become obsolete, as the additional outlets are simply a push away. When the top of the outlet shell is pressed, the rest of it’s body is released and the remaining outlets that were previously hidden inside the wall compartment become visible and ready to use. When they are no longer needed another simple push puts them back into their original place. The outlet’s “hidden function” concept can be used in lots of different ways. For example it can alternatively serve as a hidden compartment for cell phone chargers.
