This planting concept solves a big problem that many cities around the world share: not enough natural green. With the grass that moves in the subway shaft, this design has an almost ‘poetic’ effect.
The ventilation shafts of subways as urban air gardens where grass blows in the light breeze and filters the air at the same time. The basis is provided by plastic tubes, which are threaded onto a module made up of rods to let them move up and down freely as the air streams out. LEDs can be added to the green, or used to light up the city at night.
