IUW is a project of personal flotation device designed for water sports.
The premise of the project was to create a product that would combine the features of lifejacket (pfd type III) and throwable device (pfd type IV), as well as meet the requirements of SOLAS Convention (Safety of Life at Sea).
Design Julia Grochal functions not only as a flotation device, but also facilitates the process to take the user out of the water on land or aboard a boat. The outer layer of the product is neoprene nylon coating that provides excellent thermal insulation and high resistance to abrasion properties rays, water or UV. the color scheme selected divides the form into two parts: the basic element is produced in neon green and dynamics section in a shade of gray. These colors not only increase the visibility of the entire form, but also highlight the parts that the individual can use to perform specific actions.
