Pillars of Flux is a network of skyscrapers used as a vertical shipping port designed for expanding ports and emerging ports of tomorrow.
Pillars are detached from city to free valuable shores for public use, and storage body are designed to be vertical to save space on narrow gulfs and coves. It is a concept for evergrowing ports or new emerging ports of tomorrow. Its interaction with the mainland is solely transportational, and its layout and pillar height depends on characteristics of the related city. Drones build on Pillars to enable them get taller and store more containers. After certain a height, another Pillar should be built to also enable more ship traffic. Various energy harvesting and recovery methods are used to make it more sustainable. Not only buildings are built of eco-friendly materials, but also Drones help clean its surroundings from any pollution caused by visiting ships.
